Popcorn Parade Registration
The Van Buren Popcorn Festival Committee would like to invite you to participate in our Popcorn Parade. The parade is on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 6:30pm. The Theme for the 2017 Van Buren Popcorn Festival is "45 Years of Popin', Thanks for the Memories". We hope that you will try to incorporate the theme with your entry. Competition will be held with trophies awarded to the top unit in the following categories:
- Best use of the Festival Theme
- Best Clown unit
- Best Band
- Best Horse and Pony
- Best Antique Transportation
- Best Antique Tractor
- Best Miscellaneous Unit
- Best Baton Corp
- Best Float
- Best all around Unit
All parade entries MUST be registered with us to be in the parade! If you are interested, please complete and mail the parade registration form. The parade is held rain or shine.
Line-up and check-in for the parade will begin at 5:15 pm at the parking lot of Modern Machine and Tool, 621 South First Street (Corner of State Road 5 and 400 N).

Royalty Contest Information
Classes of royalty are:
- Sr. Queen (age 19+)
- Sr. King (age 19+)
- Queen (ages 13-18)
- King (ages 13-18)
- Jr. Queen (ages 6-12)
- Jr. King (ages 6-12)
- Princess (ages 2-5)
- Prince (ages 2-5)
Contestants raise money for the festival to cover expenses such as entertainment, advertising, and insurance. The contestant in each category that raises the most money is the royalty for the annual event. Contestants are awarded prizes for their efforts. This is a festival tradition that began with the first festival in 1973. The cut off date for turning in your money is Monday, July 31, 2017
